Odonata Foundation

Odonata’s mission is to empower and enable all Australians to play important roles in saving wildlife and reversing the impacts of climate change. They do this by developing innovative ways for businesses, farmers, and entrepreneurs to get involved in taking action for nature.

As a key contributor to Odonata's Scientific Advisory Group, our Lab provides expertise on reintroductions and conservation biology to inform the management of threatened species metapopulations within an integrated network of predator-proof sanctuaries.

SEASON

Odonata's South East Australia Sanctuary Operations Network (SEASON) is a key tool in their threatened species recovery work.

Building on the success of Mt Rothwell and Mulligans Flat, they aim to expand the network of sanctuaries to provide scale, genetic diversity, and threatened species population resilience by supporting a greater range of species and spreading the climatic and financial risks for insurance populations. These species include bush stone-curlews, eastern quolls, eastern barred bandicoots, and southern brush-tailed rock-wallabies.
